// Microfilming

Microfilm is ideal for organizations prioritizing security, long-term preservation, and cost-effective archiving of business documentation. Microfilmed documents are legally recognized copies of original documents, offering a permanent solution for long-term archiving and proving to be one of the most reliable and secure methods for document management savings.

The economic advantage of this storage method is particularly evident in spatial savings (microfilm records occupy up to 99% less archival space compared to paper documents). Additionally, it reduces server and hardware expenses and electricity costs, as original electronic documents can also be microfilmed.

A microfilm copy holds the same legal weight as the original paper document, allowing organizations to destroy the paper or electronic versions as needed. Alternative microfilm copies can also be created, providing additional protection against various hazards (the so-called Disaster Recovery – Business Continuity scenario).

The standard microfilming service includes:
  • Microfilming on Kodak Archive Writer, one of the most reliable devices of its kind globally
  • Excellent quality microfilm recording, with up to 17,000 document images per roll
  • Dual recording (simultaneous creation of an original and a microfilm copy)
  • Kodak microfilm with a 500-year warranty
  • Production of additional microfilm duplicates (for Disaster Recovery)
