SMA 16 Archive Writer
The SMA 16 Archive Writer is a portable microfilm device capable of creating grayscale images exclusively on standard 16mm microfilm, with the ability to expose up to 3,600 images on microfilm every hour.
The SMA 16 Archive Writer creates an analog backup of your digital business documents. Data migration of your electronic archive is no longer necessary, as microfilm is entirely independent of software and hardware support. When produced and stored correctly, microfilm has an expected lifespan of 500 years. Additionally, it is tamper-resistant and immune to viruses or hackers.
The fact that the SMA 16 Archive Writer uses standard camera microfilm makes it very economical, with no obligation for the user to purchase proprietary consumables. SMA 51 and SMA 105 models are available for 35mm film or microfiche.
The software used to operate the SMA 16 Archive Writer is exceptionally user-friendly. Simply select any folder on your PC or network and add it to the recording menu. A special image tracking program ensures that each image is opened and properly recorded. If an image is damaged, the system will notify you immediately. At the end of each film roll, the software creates a log file to confirm recording integrity.
SMA 51 Archive Writer
The world’s leading archival writer for 16/35mm film. With hundreds of installations worldwide, the SMA 51 has established a reputation known to all. With the introduction of 8K technology, the quality of produced film reaches an entirely new dimension.
The SMA 51 Archive Writer creates readable copies of digital data—both those generated through digitization and natively digital data. Data migration, typically required for purely digital archives, is unnecessary here. Properly created, processed, and stored under suitable conditions, microfilm has an expected lifespan of at least 500 years. Furthermore, it is resistant to tampering, hacking attempts, and viruses.
